The 1st WBF(World Bird Fair) 2025 in Taiwan is authorised by WBC(world Birdfairs Council). Supported by Taiwan Tourism Administration . And co-organied by WBAT(Wild Bird Association, Taowan) and Ecotourism Taiwan.
Taiwan's unique geographical location and diverse landscapes make it a prime destination for birdwatching, with 691 bird species recorded, including 32 endemic species and 52 sub endemics. This rich avian diversity attracts bird enthusiasts from around the globe, positioning Taiwan as a significant hub for birdwatching.
It's a great pleasure of Taiwan to host the 1st WBF 2025 in Taiwan.

● Please arrive the Taoyuan International Airport (Taipei) before noon on Sep. 19 in order to attend “Meeting up Business Partners” from 15:30 to 17:30 and the WELCOME DINNER at 18:30.

Transportation from Taoyuan International Airport to HSR(High Speed Railway) Taichung Station.
1.Take MRT from the airport to HSR Taoyuan Station(see map below)
Please look for directions to the MRT Station.
● If you arrive at Airport Terminal 1, your MRT station is A12.
● If you arrive at Airport Terminal 2, your MRT station is A13.
● From A12 or A13, purchase(cash or credit card available) an MRT ticket to Taoyuan HSR Station A18.
● The cost of the ticket is NT$ 35.00.

2.Ask help from the service people(most of them speak English) at HSR station to go to your boarding platform if you don’t find the way. They are always friendly and ready to help.
How to purchase an HSR ticket?
*Please purchase an HSR ticket from Taoyuan Station to Taichung Station. Please use the special discount for foreign visitors. (Good for 2 people, where buy one, get one free. Though the ticket may be limited and it is valid for 90 days.)

*Upon arriving Taiwan HSR station on Sep. 19 and Sep. 23 A shuttle service is ready to take you from HSR station to The Splendor Hotel-Taichung. Volunteers from Wild Bird Association, Taichung(WBAT) will guide you to take the shuttle (vice versa). Either they will find you or you can find them easily. The shuttle is running from 08:00 to 17:00 on Sep.18, and from 08:00 to 12:00 on Sep. 23. The shuttle bus schedule will be announced later.

2.Delegates who are planning to go to Taichung City earlier than September 19, you may book a hotel nearby or we may help you to book The Splendor Hotel-Taichung by request. No meal service before or after the Welcome Dinner on September 19. But the hotel is in a popular area of the city. You may find food everywhere.
*It’s SAFE to walk around in the city, even at night.
*The welcome desk is open in the hotel from 15:00-18:30. You will receive a souvenir pack including a name tag, memorial gifts, and 2 polo-shirts and maybe more.
3.Two Polo-shirts will be given away to participants. The blue one should be worn on Day 1 and the green one on Day 2.
4.A volunteer English/Chinese helper will be arranged at every booth.
5.Thanks to the enthusiastic participation, we are opening 12 speaking slots on Sep. 21 for delegates to promote their ecotourism activities and conservation projects. Each slot will be allocated 15 minutes maximum. Kindly reply in the form.

Q&A
Q1: If the event venue is outdoors, will the booth location be hot?
A: Each booth will be equipped with an electric fan.
Q2: Is it possible to use free Wi-Fi at the event venue?
A: Free Wi-Fi provided by Chunghwa Telecom will be available.
Q3: Since Daisetsuzan is at a high altitude, is it necessary to prepare warm clothing?
A: The daytime temperature ranges from 15–22°C, so a light jacket will be sufficient.
